I remember, it was Saturday at the night and me, with my old friends, went to visit Carlos, who is one of my oldest friends, at his job. He’s job was in a rest bar in Monjitas street, near Matte Palace. We bought some “ron colas” and sang karaoke for a long time. It was time to go to the disco, so we left the rest bar and we went to Bellavista neighborhood. We found a place (I don’t remember the name, actually), and we danced with some girls. Suddenly, the earthquake started, but pretty soft, so I waited for it to stop, but it didn’t, the light turned off and everybody got panic, it was terrible. But my reaction was so quiet and I stayed near the bar, because I know that in the earthquake case, running is wrong because you can cause an accident. When the earthquake stopped, we went to our houses in Felipe’s car.
I wanted to help, but my family didn’t let me go to the south to build houses because they thought that it was too dangerous. So I donated some money to “Chile ayuda a Chile”, and I played rugby with my team for charity to the people affected by the earthquake.
I don’t know if I learnt something with this experience, but I know that Chile can stand up after the disaster.

Hi, my name is José Joaquín Fredes, but you can call me "Jota". I´m 19 years old and now I´m living in La Reina. I´m studying Public Administration in Universidad de Chile. But that is not the only thing I´m doing (of course), because I like the sports, specifically rugby, in UST rugby club (UST means "Universidad Santo Tomás) five days at week.
As I said, I like the sports, so I like to see the football matches, play volleyball with some friends sometimes, but the most funny activity is play rugby matchs at weekend.
I´m a funny person too (I guess), so other things that I like is go out with my friend to the Disco, barbecues, and any party at the weekend, but I can´t have fun at any time and place, because the University and rugby doesn´t let me do things whenever I woud like, but I don´t care because I like what I´m doing.
